Our Story
“We have an ardent, deep-seated, consuming love affair with food. We’ve traveled far and wide in search of the perfect morsel and have been wondrously immersed in amazing food and culture across the world.
We’ve blissfully sampled our way through a plethora of different international foods, but there was something that was consistent every time; we were always happy came home to good home-cooked food. What we craved regularly was always right there with us everywhere we traveled. Thus, the idea of Kirby’s (the restaurant, not the dog – more on that later) was born.
It was imperative for us to bring good ole American home-cooking to the table (pun intended). We wanted to share with you the cuisine that is so near and dear to our hearts. Also near and dear to our hearts is our best friend, Kirby. He happens to have four legs, impeccable taste in food, and a favorite cheeseburger squeaky toy. We couldn’t possibly think of a better name for our restaurant than Kirby’s American Kitchen.
We at Kirby’s believe that any good meal should start with wholesome natural ingredients and be served in a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Our dishes are made fresh with mindful ingredients and lots of a love. Our products are hand-crafted with superior quality – without cutting corners.
We are so honored and grateful to the people of Graz for choosing us as the recipient of the Grazer des Jahres 2016 award in the category of gastronomy.
